Timothy Byford has branded my childhood and possibly the whole generation through his television work in Yugoslavia. Satyric humor is common in both of our nations, but this work has bridged British and Serbian cultures, in my opinion. I had a wonderful childhood and vivid memories link me to Mali Program. Neven and Poletarac prepared me for Monty Pythons, Black Adder, Only Fools and Horses, and numerous other British comedy content, felt like natural setting actually. Withnail and I was not strange at all to me, nor has been Four Weddings and a Funeral. My first short movie, as an author, was about a Biciclown. A gig became a big thing for me in my early age and I still laugh a lot. I am deeply grateful for Timothy Byford's contribution to my life, whom I never met in person though. He touched me through his art and wit. Must have been a privilege growing up in such circumstances. My first glimpse of foreign culture in this early age was through French I was thought in school, I fell madly in love with. A striking contrast of a foreign TV director at Radio Television Belgrade has woken my interest towards English. For years I have been beginning my day with this gentleman's programs, with a smile on my face from the moment a small cartoon TV set kicks the big one in the leg, drawing its attention, asking for some room. Thank you Timothy Byford, for sending this signal to us, your kids as well.
